Our Story
From BabyBe: to Boutiquey Home
If you’ve been around a while, you might remember me from BabyBe: - the baby shop I ran for 14 years. It was a huge part of my life, and if I’m honest, letting it go wasn’t easy.
When BabyBe: closed, life looked very different for me. I packed away what was left - the stock, the signage, the little things I couldn’t bear to part with - and they followed me through life for next couple of years. I kept them partly because I couldn’t let go, and partly because a small part of me still hoped there’d be another chapter for it all one day.
And somehow… here we are.
Boutiquey Home is that next chapter - familiar, but grown. It still carries the heart of BabyBe:, but with a little more life lived in between.
What you’ll find
Boutiquey Home is a mix of everything I love - home, family, design, and a good story behind things.
Behind the doors You’ll find:
-
Mid-century original furniture and pieces with history (I’ve always had a soft spot for a good chair).
-
Thoughtful home décor and lifestyle finds - the kind of things that make a space feel like home.
-
Plants, gifts, and wellness pieces that fit into real life.
-
And of course, a little nod to where it all began — baby gifts, ReLoved babywear, and baby shower treasures.
My Why
My motto has always been pretty simple - I just like nice things - I even purchased a print of it many years ago from a very overpriced London Boutique.
Boutiquey Home is about more than what’s on the shelves. It’s about creating a space that feels calm and connected - a place where old stories and new beginnings sit side by side.
It’s about community, about the people who’ve popped their heads in to say “I remember you from BabyBe!”, and about starting something new after thinking the old chapter had closed for good.
So whether you’ve been with me since the BabyBe: days or you’ve just stumbled across the shop on Cambridge Street - welcome.
It’s lovely to have you here. 🌿
